We Do Not Know What The Body Can Do

Flesh     brief     absolute
Shards     arcing light      sparks
       Enshadowed water:
       a world shivers.
Exchanging caress;
galvanising colour.

An archaic invasion of old men
sheltered in her sternum.
Aching effort.
Poisoning.
(An ideal burden
in the chimerical ‘depths’.)

Heavenly weightless ideas, crushing.
Vaporous carved granite smoke.

Flesh     brief     absolute.
